The European Parliament voted Thursday (10/30/2015) in support of a resolution that calls on member states to protect Edward SnowdenEdward Snowden from extradition.The vote, which has no legal force, was 285-281. The resolution urges nations to drop criminal charges and “consequently prevent extradition or rendition by third parties, in recognition of his status as whistle-blower and international human rights defender.”…cnn.com

Women’s roles in the United States workforce changed drastically during World War II. Rosie the Riveter became a cultural symbol representing the American women who worked in factories. Not all Rosiestop-secret-rosies-1, however, were blue collar workers. Women mathematicians, recruited by the U.S. Army, also helped in the war effort.
